About My Second Life

I was born in humble circumstances after a chance mating between a website and a credit card. My teachers at the schools of hard knocks at Orientation Junior and Help High did their best for me but I was a hopeless student, constantly distracted by the pretty, shiny things that the other kids were making.
With no real chance of a proper education I decided to leave the sticks and strike out for the bright lights of the big city with dreams of perhaps becoming a dancer or even, if my luck held, an actress.
I quickly realised that I looked out of place amongst the city folk in their fancy clothes and cosmetically enhanced bodies so I retreated to a secret clinic and, after several expensive and painful surgeries I emerged, tight-skinned, blinking my new eyes, into a brave new world (that also had such people in it).
Now, I felt, the world was mine. But my confidence was short lived as I discovered that the other kids had been up to all sorts of stuff during my self-imposed exile. I sat down and pondered my choices.
Building ? Design ? Scripting ? Land-dealing ? What could I do ?
Nothing, was my conclusion. That stuff looked like hard work.
I looked at the exhausted chair-campers clutching their aching bottoms, the sleepy money-tree harvesters with their stretched backs and thought, 'Nah'.
So finally, after weeks of soul-searching, I decided to become a Shopper.
If you have cool, shiny stuff that I don't yet have, please let me know.
I will probably buy it.
I can't help myself.
I also yak at anybody that will listen.
