Happy Holidays to FFC!!!! yeah I know, just a few days late LOL, anyway thoughts about RFL 09 are already making it's presence known to me, and I certainly hope with you!!! WOOT! We can do it again, GO RELAY!!!

Wow, the Salsa Elegance went over so well I have already secured the place again for another event in July. According to Semi, it raised nearly L$4000!!! Not bad for somebody who dove in and never done anything like this!!!

Just a quick reminder about tonights event, Salsa Elegance at the PRIDELANDS ROCK CLUB, in Sorens (70,100,31) from 7 to 10p.m. slt time, Formal/Salsa dress requested, DJ SODAPOP HERON, and my self hostessing this event for TEAM FFC!!! and RFL!!!

Friends Fighting Cancer is proud to announce that SL's most popular blues musician, the amazing Tone Uriza, will be playing at Pillows and Pancakes to help them in their fight for the cure. Come join us, Sunday, May 118th @ 6PM SLT, for a relaxing evening of good music, good people and a great cause! The concert is poolside so dress casual.
Here's a bit about Tone, Tony in Real Life and the lead singer of Tony and the Torpedos.
The group's founder and leader. Born in Ajo, Arizona in 1955,
Tony's been playing guitar for 42 years. He loves both the classic
and contemporary blues masters equally and he's ingenious
in his interpretation of the Blues' rich history. His voice and
guitar speak a language everyone can understand. Tony's
opened for Albert Collins, Koko Taylor, Son Seals, Otis Rush,
Mose Allison, John Lee Hooker, Carey Bell, and Ronnie Earl and the
Broadcasters-to name a few. He's backed up Homesick James,
Willie Jaye "The Texas Hurricane", Zora Young, Raful Neal
and Raful's daughter, Jackie Neal. And that's just a sample.
Local Tucson groups Tony's been with (pre-Torpedoes) include
The Highbeam Blues Band, George Howard and the Roadhouse
Hounds, The Bluelight Blues Band, The Bad News Blues Band,
the Full Moon Blues Band. Most of all Tony's proud of the fact
that he jammed and became friends with Albert Collins. He's
also jammed onstage with Smokin' Ronnie Earl and Kenny
Neal. Tony was inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall Of Fame
in October of 1999.
As well as playing music professionally for the last 30 years, Tony has
worked as a digital electronic technician and computer
technician.

Well, I am in need of 10 single men and women for my dream date auction at the Arbor on May 11th at 12 pm slt. :) Give me a PM or a shout in SL. I need also a DJ that will donate their time to MC and spin some songs during the event! Also, I am accepting donations for advertisements during the event. :) We raised over 100K last year...I am looking to do the same this year! Come on and have some fun!
