My SL persona isn't all that different from that of RL, bar a few tweaks here and there (particularly in the wardrobe region...I doubt I'll ever be able afford all these clothes in reality).
I am exactly who I say I am - A QUIRKY and incorrigibly SCATTY British-born mixed-Asian (concoction of Peranakan and Thai, although the language aspect of my Eastern heritage is completely lost on me) FREELANCE MODEL / WRITER / DESIGNER.
A bit of a GEEK-CHICK, and definitely a MAD COW (Mooo! Kekeke...No kidding, I suffer from BPD...er...that's the Personality Disorder, not Bi-Polar), with the ability to spew absolute crap at times, absence of alcohol notwithstanding. Still, all hope is not lost...Have been known to engage in witty and intelligent conversation, even with creatures possessing less than four legs (though in SL that doesn't often mean much!).
Also affectionately nicknamed Li'l Firecracker, Babbie Wasabie, or Lille Eskimit in RL, on account of size (I`m very PETITE, about 5'2'' / 5.5 St / 32AA-22-33 in case you're a Photograher), the great big furry coat I like to wrap myself in, and er...other character attributes best not mentioned (particularly those that are highly VOLATILE). However, 'Charme' will get you a better response, and so will 'Lyondra' in SL, or 'Lyon' for short.
As soon as people realise I'm ASIAN, they feel compelled to ask me where I'm from, which could really mean any of three things...So to save everyone the time, I shall cover all bases right now...I was born in LONDON, and my family is from various parts of Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, China, Thailand and Indonesia. I currently live in 'exotic' Blackpool, but SSHHHH...If you tell anyone about that, I'm afraid you will find yourself facing the wrong end of my shiny new guns.
Not so long ago, I was reading Wicker, and wishing that there was a non-fiction equivalent of SHADOW WORLD...So you can imagine the metaphorical ORGASM I found myself having when I came across a magazine article about SL...I am now officially in MMORPG Heaven.
Not that it's really Role-Play for me and my other half...My SL Partner-in-Crime - Davey Greene - is also my RL HUBBY...an ace PHOTOGRAPHER in his 1st Life, stupendously FUNKY LIVE TRANCE DJ in his 2nd, and IT fellow-Geek in both.
...We've tried to make our avatars look as close as possible to the way we really are in RL...No doubt you will now point out that our feeble attempts haven't quite worked...But hey, cut us some slack. Being barely a few months old at time of writing, we're babies in SL years...Everyone starts off as a NOOB at some point! We will get there one day (which will hopefully fall on this side of Y3K), and when that time comes, you'll be eating a semi-spherical prim, commonly referred to as HUMBLE PIE, courtesy of yours truly (and paying us lots of L$).

Firstly, I love ADVENTURE games which involve exploring worlds and interacting with virtual surroundings. I also need to indulge my CREATIVE nature or what's left of my brain will go AGRONOMICAL and cultivate a raisin-like appearance. Secondly, I get to live out fantasies (mainly of the non-sexual variety) which are otherwise out-of-reach in RL because no one has yet invented a device to reverse time (or allow us to TELEPORT...oh, the number of times I could really do with this ability, although the prospect of materialising inside a wall is pretty daunting!).
Too late for me to launch a career as an OPERA SINGER, but at least I can ride a horse, fly, buy/make as much clothing as I want without worrying where to put the bloody lot, and live out my dream as a POLE-DANCING DIVA! As a happily-married EXHIBITIONIST, I operate on a see-no-touch basis, so I'm not too keen on the one-to-one side of this occupation...I love Davey too much and besides, I'm rubbish at this flirting business...I usually end up sounding like a total demmick (quite intrigued by the concept of bouncing around on sex poseballs though...Still, I can't quite decide if I prefer them to SPACE HOPPERS). However, I enjoy being admired and eversince my one experience as a cage dancer in a RL Gay Club, discovered I love the POWER I have over crowds, but that's as far as it goes...I'm at my best as a HAPPY CAMPER bumping and grinding a pole (or Davey), though I can promise you my dancing is infinitely better than my AV's...
...But we're not here to discuss my 43 Things.
Sadly, I probably have less lives to spare now than when I first converted from cells to pixels...I sometimes wonder if NINE is even sufficient.
All things said and done, I'm just as bubbly and adventurous as ever, although cyber sky-diving is probably the furthest I'll ever go in testing my resistance to VERTIGO. That said, I've always wanted to be a FIGHTER PILOT blazing through the skies, and would quite happily do a Hammond even if it meant 'Game Over'.
Btw, for those who think us lot in SL need to get a Real Life that's not dictated by bandwidth allowance, try telling that to Ailin Graef aka Anshe Chung...
...I just couldn't resist adding that.
There's more I want to do in SL, and I'm sure that my ACTIVE IMAGINATION will soon make itself heard. But until then, there's still a great deal I need to get to grips with, such as sorting out this problem I have with LAG...so now you know why I don't reply to your IMs immediately. I'm not ignoring you, just temporarily SPACED-OUT...Something which occurs quite frequently in RL.
