Hi there :) Well, first of all let me tell you a bit about my avatar, so that you can know a little bit about me as well. My avatar's name is Heart Wishbringer, she's a short, athletic build avatar with great legs, a great ass and small breasts. She's completely white with tribal tattoos all over her body. She's married to another avatar named Joe Stravinsky, a 7 foot 9 Vampire with white skin, a white Mohawk, and red snake eyes. Together our avatars run the shoppe "Hearts Desire". But, it's more than that. They're in love.
In real life my name is Rhonda Lillie and Joe's name is Paul Hawkins. I live in California, and Joe lives in Wales. Quite far apart really if you think about it. We met on January 11, 2005 at a club in SL, and have been inseparable ever since. We really wanted to meet, and were so addicted to each other that we spent most of our time on Skype in voice and on cam and in Second Life hanging out together, building things together, dreaming up being together and helping our customers. Well, on July 19, 2007 we finally did meet in person in London at Heathrow airport. I flew to the UK to meet him, and spent 16 days there with him. Before we met we were approached by a television company and asked if they could film a series of short stories in a documentary format about us, we said sure, why not? They began filming the series on us in March, and it sparked major media attention when I flew over to the UK. Not only because we played Second Life but because our love story was so spectacular. We appeared on TV on a talk show called "This Morning" we also appeared in 3 British newspapers the first week we were there, as well as two magazines, Newsweek International, and Closer Magazine, and we also did a total of 7 radio appearances. This all within a period of 16 days. Joe and I were just so happy to be able to spend time together, it was unbelievable all the media attention, but we just didn't care we were on top of the world. The sad part was that I only had 16 days there and 6 of those days were used up doing photo's and filming and radio shows and tv stuff. Joe was upset about that more than I was, but I don't blame him. He wanted his time with me, and he had to share me with the media.. he didn't want them taking away from our time together. But... on the good side, they paid for all our dinners when we were out with them, all of our transportation, and all of our hotel rooms, we never had to pay for a taxi, a dinner, or breakfast, and so that part of it was nice :)
I'm back at home in California now, and there's not much to tell, now it's a matter of waiting. Joe is going to come over to see me in November, and spend time here in California. We'll see if he likes it better here or there. In any case, we rarely play Second Life now because we are doing other things, but we are always on Cam and in voice, and we do still check in with our customers and hope that the rest of the Second Life world is finding as much happiness as we have found the past 2 1/2 yrs in the virtual world. As soon as we are together in real life I am sure we will be returning to Second Life to create things together, for now we are busy getting real life sorted out, but we do still have the shoppe open on the Urbane sim. :)

I joined Second Life on November 22, 2004 with no intention of falling in love, but on January 11th, 2005 I met someone who would change my mind on that. I met Joe Stravinsky at a dance competition and soon we were inseparable. At the time he was building a castle and furniture but I asked him to build something special just for me.... I asked him to build me a pair of shoes. He didn't know how to build shoes yet, and he asked a lot of people, but no one would teach him... so he had to learn on his own... he took great care with the prims and the textures he created himself, and in no time at all I was walking around in the sexiest goth shoes in the game. I had so many compliments and so many people were asking me where I got my shoes, and I had an idea... why not open a shoe store and save the money from the sales of the shoes so we could meet in real life? So, we did that... we opened a store and we lovingly put our first pair of shoes for sale. These shoes were called "Steel Hearts" and back in 2005 they were the only shoes that you could find on SecondLife that screamed "GOTH". They were a hit, and we were stunned, and we loved seeing our customers come in and compliment us... Joe and I decided to put all the furniture away we had been building, and concentrate on shoes. He would dream up new designs and I would help him name them, and I would wear them around and advertise them. They were after all "MY" shoes... that he made for me... with love. At first he didn't think we should sell them, because they were made for me, but I knew that there wasn't anything like his style anywhere on SL and I knew that they'd sell and we'd be able to one day meet in real life, if all went right... so we sold them.

Hearts Desire is still in business and we still have our shoes up for sale. The original "Steel Hearts" are no longer for sale, as they've been retired... but all of the other shoes are still on the shelves. If you see something you really like we want to know which pair are your favorites. We're always happy to see someone else happy. If we do not have a style or shoe you want, we will refer you to another shoppe.

Hearts Desire was named for my desire to have the shoppe, to save money to meet Joe... thus the name "Hearts Desire"

P.S. I know the proper spelling should be "Heart's Desire" however, I did not want the apostrophe in the title at all.. so when you search for our shoppe leave it out.. simply type in: Hearts Desire and keep an eye out for the keyword: Shoes
